What the heck am I doing, posting on LJ at a time like this. But portfolio work and English ISP just seem so daunting right now. Also have that report for Challenge & Change to write...

But anyway, really, pay this no mind. I'm just using LJ as a place to organize this AU project a little.

Within existence, there are an infinite number of worlds. Some lay parallel, some are connected, some exist with no knowledge of the existence of the others and vice versa.

But this story isn't about the great expanse of existence or the conflicts of the worlds. This story takes place on one particularly unique world. This world is a world of rebirth, a world of second chances. This is a world for the dead.

This world is called Phoenix.

And now to make this look completely unprofessional and make no sense. TIME FOR RANDOM PICTURES.

TotA: Encounter in the Night

Asch's sword flew out of his hand, landing uselessly a few feet away from him. He might've been able to reach it but the chances were slim. His assailant appeared to be much quicker than him.

"Well if it isn't Asch... Really, I expected so much more out of the original."

In the darkness, it was hard to make out the other person but it was clearly a man. By the looks of it, he stood at the same height as Asch and he could make out the slightest glint of green in the night. Asch frowned. He didn't think he knew this person... but there was something oddly familiar about those eyes - were they really eyes?- ... and how did this unknown man know his name?

"Speechless are we? ...Hmph. Aah, no matter, I really must be going anyways. My mission has nothing to do with you this time, but watch your back. If I weren't in a hurry right now, you might not even be breathing."

The figure before him laughed then. It was a cold, morbid laugh, nearly bordering on insanity. Asch shuddered involuntarily. Then, just as swiftly and without warning as he had appeared, he disappeared.

Eying his surroundings cautiously, the young heir of the Fabre household allowed himself to breathe a sigh of relief. Moving to pick up his sword, Asch suddenly froze. It hit him then like a torrent of freezing water, chilling him to the bone. Those eyes that had seemed so familiar, he recognized them now as he stared into his reflection in the sword.

They were his own.

Hmmm. There are vague spoilers, nothing much as it's just a snippet from an AU idea I had for Tales of the Abyss.

I won't give anything away but... I think it's pretty obvious as it is. Aaand, the background is supposed to be Baticul at night. I don't think it's very recognizable xD

I think the results are terribly TERRIBLY wrong except for Joyce, Casie, and Bea. Although yes Jus does fit there somewhere, Jus is Jus and so her existance of itself is very very wrong. That Fred bit just creeps me out. Of course I'll remember Cindy, she's my cousin! Nessa's loyal but she has no such underwear to speak of. Cheryl is anything but shy and unconfrontational. Really.

My Week

Yes... my week. What could possibly be interesting about that?

Well, on Monday, I went and smashed the back of my head into the headboard of my bed and swore for about a minute and a half straight. Why my parents did not hear me, I will never know.

And so I attended my first day of school (Tuesday) with a giant lump on the back of my head. Thankfully, it was no longer in splitting pain.

I don't even know how it happened. I was falling back onto the bed and then suddenly EXPLODING PAIN IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD. I've never done that before Oo

And then Wednesday. My birthday. For some uncanny reason, we went out for dinner with relatives to celebrate someone else's birthday on mine. ...odd.

My aunt was reaching for a plate when she knocked over her wine glass ... right into my lap. So now I have red wine stains on my clothes. Lovely.

And then half an hour ago, I skinned my ankle on the sharp edge of my desk and now it's swollen. ...heh.

It hasn't been a BAD week, per se. Sort of amusing if you think about it actually. Except the smashing my head part. That part just plain sucked. ...although it was kind of funny in an ironic way. I typed in an author's note a few minutes before that: "Love it, hate it, want to bash my head in with a blunt object on more than one occasion?" So yea it was kind of funny. ...at least italicsdovesand suckslikethatthought it was. kiraelindid too, but she was more polite about it XP

On another note. I hate school already. Although, we have some really cool teachers this year. It looks like it'll be fun.

Haseo

I told Nessa that I would obssess about him for at least a week, and obssessing also includes ranting on LJ.

I recently got back into .Hack (not Dusk, no one cares about Shugo the little freak and his sister complex), and the thing that caught my attention the most was Haseo, the main character of .Hack//G.U.

Apparently, he's the same person as Sora which I find really neat. His design is really cool too. I like his first form best so far but his fourth one looked pretty cool too.

I feel lazy so... that's all for now.

Lunar Eclipses and Stardust

So, this morning from about 4am-6am, there was a Lunar eclipse. Casie (italicsdoves), Nessa (kiraelin), and I decided to stay up all night together to wait for the eclipse instead of sleeping and waking up at 4 xD However I got forced off the computer at 2, and so then I called Nessa and talked with Casie through her for the next two hours until my phone's batteries died at 4. Then I read a little and caught a glimpse of the start of the eclipse. Then I decided to take a nap and set my watch's alarm for 5:30. It never did ring and I woke up at 7am, having missed the peak of the eclipse. (sighs)

Anyways, afterwards, I met up with them again along with Bea, Jus (suckslikethat), and Fred at 6pm at First Markham Place's foodcourt. We had dinner (Casie kept stealing my milk tea, dammit), and headed out to the movies. Fred, Bea, Jus, and Casie walked too fast and my stomach cramped. That sucked.

We watched Stardust and it was hilarious. They showed that nonsensical trailer with only music to Across the Universe and it confused everyone. Too bad they didn't show the other one. It was interesting. Then Bea started singing along to commercials and I elbowed her.

Can-Can dance, anyone?

Edit: Oh and because she mentioned it, Jus was sick. And she wouldn't stop touching me. She's trying to make me sick for my birthday which is on Tuesday.

Edit AGAIN: ...oops. I'm so dumb. My birthday's September 5th, Wednesday, not Tuesday. Fred's birthday is Tuesday. Geez xD How could I forget? School starts on Tuesday after all.

TeniPuri OneShot- Ulterior Motive

Because, as Casie says, it's not fair to tell her to post her fics on her LJ and not post mine, even though I have more confidence problems than her DDD< ...actually, Casie doesn't have any confidence problems to speak of.

Spoiler Warnings: Uh... none really unless you don't know who Shishido and Niou are...
Disclaimer: Maybe if I took over Japan, I would own TeniPuri by default... but until that happens, no I don't own TeniPuri.
Prompt: Crane Machine
Pairing: NiouxShishido. Or as italicsdoves insists it be called, Solitaire Pair. Because solitaire can mean jewelery which basically a play on Silver and Platinum. What fun.

Ulterior Motive

One Shishido Ryou sighed irritably as he watched his boyfriend waste the afternoon away in front of one of those pesky crane machines that liked to eat your money. They didn’t even give you a decent prize for your efforts if you did just so happen to keep a hold of something long enough to drop it where you wanted to. Shishido eyed the growing pile of stuffed abominations – he absolutely could not see the resemblance to animals at all – on the table before him. Niou certainly had no problems actually getting something, he had the ‘how’ part pretty much figured out. It was the ‘what’ that was the problem.

“Just what the hell is it that you’re trying to get which is worth wasting an hour on, anyways?” The black-haired boy demanded.

“Good things come to those who wait,” Was the only reply he got for his efforts, “Try to be a little more patient, Shishido.”

Shishido snorted, “Patient? I’m not the one who tried to break the machine open after one failed attempt.”

“Well if we’re going to go back to that, if you had let me do that to begin with, we wouldn’t still be here, now would we? So really, you’re in no position to complain,” Niou retorted, briefly smirking at him before turning his attention back to the deviant machine he had indeed tried to smash some time earlier.

And another stuffed turtle was thrown into the pile – how many of those were there in that thing?

Shishido eyed the battered sides of the crane machine, which had managed to receive a few blows before he’d been able to stop Niou. He really did have to admire it for still being able to hold up, after having been on the receiving end of the silver-haired trickster’s fury – even if only for a few seconds.

Maybe that was why this was taking so long. Were inanimate objects capable of holding grudges? It wasn’t as if stranger things hadn’t happened. Him and Niou dating was enough proof of that.

Still, maybe the arcade hadn’t been such a good choice of location for their date after all.

A triumphant noise met his ears and he turned in his chair to gaze back at Niou once more.

“Finally got it?” Shishido inquired, trying and failing to disguise the hopefulness in his tone with annoyance.

“No, I was exclaiming my success at winning another paperweight.” Shishido decided to ignore the sarcasm in Niou’s response in favour of peering over his shoulder at what the other boy was holding in his hands, curious as to what could’ve been worth an hour of Niou’s time.

It was a cat. Or rather, Shishido was pretty sure that was what it was. It was hard to tell behind those furrowed brows – did cats have eyebrows? –, that angry scowl, and its overall sour expression. It didn’t look as though it could’ve been worth very much either. The material was somewhat tattered and he wasn’t sure what else he could describe it as besides patchy. Shishido decided that he very much did not like looking at the thing – he didn’t think it even deserved to be called a stuffed animal – for very long.

He was rendered speechless for a few seconds before saying quite blatantly,

“What. The. Fuck. What the hell do you want that thing for? Look at its face! It looks so… so… angry. Besides, it’s hideous! It’s almost as bad as Atobe’s new haircut – although I doubt anything is quite on par with that.”

“Yes, I believe that sums it up quite nicely,” Niou flashed one of his trademark grins.

“Then why do you want it?”

“Well, I think that’s pretty obvious. It reminds me of you.”

Just this once, Shishido really wished he could land a punch on Niou. Just one.

Seasonal Tidings

Well it's almost Christmas and I'm here to bid you all an extremely overdue hello.

Anyhow, my computer decided that the holiday season was indeed the BEST kind of season to crap out on me. So for the lack of art and more importantly, SEASONAL art, I place all blame on the oh-so-convenient crash of my comp. It sucks 'cause I had three pieces of work half CG-ed and with the lineart done on there. Luckily, I think the hard drive is still alive so I still have my data. Sadly, I won't be getting it back in working condition until February, earliest.

However, I hooked up the scanner to my laptop so at the very least I can still churn out pencil drawings. I'm not even going to attempt traditional, seeing as my scanner is going to completely maim all colouring and my colouring is already pretty shoddy as it is. At the very least, I'm able to bring you this small piece. Suppose I should've been paying attention to the geography mid-terms review... oh well, shame.

...also, not that any one will understand or care but apparently Santa's height is now 2 cm and tomorrow I must KILL Casie and maybe Jus and Bea just so I feel better because now I can't do my english, science, math, OR Latin. What fun.

Oh, we're having a brown christmas here too.
